Requirements
All potential new members or aspirants must meet the following criteria prior to the start of rush and/or their pledge process:
Membership Intake Intake is a process by which members are identified and brought into their new chapter. The following groups recruit using the intake process: Fraternities and Social Fellowships
Individual chapters will advertise informational meetings throughout the year. Some chapters only hold intake in the spring and others hold intake both semesters. Serving the community and mentoring others are the primary focuses of these chapters. Please refer to the chapters’ national websites or contact active members for additional information about the requirements for joining. Interfraternity Conference and National Panhellenic Conference Recruitment Recruitment is the process in which sororities and fraternities acquire new members. Potential new members visit each organization and are invited to events where they learn about each organization’s history and what makes them special. This process gives potential new members and members of the organizations the opportunity to get to know each other on a one-on-one basis. Fraternities
